Yaletown waterfront and marina in Vancouver

Yaletown is a former Canadian Pacific Railway yard on the north shore of False Creek, now a stretch of converted brick warehouses and glass high-rises on the south edge of downtown Vancouver.

A Rail Yard Turned Waterfront Neighborhood

Yaletown takes its name from the railway workers relocated here from Yale, BC, in the 1880s, and its old warehouses now house boutiques, restaurants, and lofts instead of freight.

The Seawall and Canada Line Are Both Steps Away

The False Creek seawall runs along Yaletown’s waterfront for walking or biking, and the Canada Line’s Yaletown-Roundhouse station puts the airport and the rest of downtown Vancouver within easy reach.
